May’24 marks the debut of Ferrato, Okaya's premium brand, as it unveils its inaugural product: an electric bike priced at Rs 1,59,999. Named the "Disruptor", this eco-friendly ride will be available for as little as Rs 1.4 lakh in Delhi after factoring in EV subsidies.
The initial rollout of the Ferrato Disruptor will be confined to specific cities, encompassing Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Bangalore.
The operational expenses of the bike are estimated to be a mere 25 paisa per kilometer. Additionally, the company has revealed that deliveries will commence in about 90 days, with plans to introduce another e-bike and scooter later this year.
Diving into the Specs
The Disruptor boasts an impressive range of 129 kilometers on a single charge. Powered by a PMSM center motor chain-driven system, it delivers a peak power of 6.37 kW and can reach a top speed of 95 km/h across its three dynamic drive modes: Eco, City, and Sports.
In a press release, the company stated that featuring a 3.97 kWh capacity, the bike is engineered for increased thermal resilience, withstanding temperatures of up to 270°C, ideal for India's diverse weather conditions. Its IP-67 rating ensures outstanding durability and reliability, supported by a generous 3-year/30,000 km warranty.
Design and Features
The Ferrato Disruptor embodies the essence of a modern sports bike, featuring a twin-LED headlamp setup seamlessly integrated into the front apron, and showcases an array of cutting-edge features crafted to elevate control, stability, and ease of use, including disc brakes, alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension, mono-shock rear suspension, and a digital-hybrid display. With notable visual elements including a distinctive floating tail section, split seats, split grab rails, and side skirts on the fairing, the Disruptor will offer a choice of three captivating colors – Inferno Red, Thunder Blue, and Stealth Black.
Equipped with integrated Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, geo-fencing capabilities, and Find My Vehicle functionality, the Disruptor seamlessly integrates with contemporary lifestyles. Riders can effortlessly navigate, and monitor their bike in real-time, enriching the riding experience with unprecedented convenience.
Pre-bookings for the electric bike have already commenced by the company. Prospective buyers can secure their orders via the company's official website. Furthermore, Okaya unveiled a special promotion for the first 1000 customers, enabling them to reserve the bike for just Rs 500. Subsequent to this exclusive offer, the price will adjust to Rs 2,500.
