Tata Motors has officially launched the updated 2026 Tiago EV in India at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With this update, Tata has given its most affordable electric hatchback a fresh new look, more premium interiors and several new features, making it an even stronger option for buyers entering the EV segment. Without the BaaS scheme, the Tiago EV starts at Rs 6.99 lakh, while the MG Comet EV is priced from Rs 7.62 lakh (both ex-showroom). Tata has packed the hatchback with several premium features, including a floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, dual wireless chargers, rear AC vents, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and connected car technology. In comparison, the MG Comet EV mainly focuses on futuristic styling and gets everything you need, while the Citroen eC3 feels quite simple and misses out on many modern convenience features. If you want a feature-loaded EV with a more premium feel, the Tata Tiago EV is the clear choice here. However, if your usage is mainly daily office commute, city traffic and tight parking spaces, then the MG Comet EV makes more sense thanks to its compact size. As for the Citroen eC3, it honestly doesn’t feel worth considering at its price point, especially when the Tiago EV offers more features and better overall value.
