Mahindra has just launched the XEV 9S, adding another electric SUV to their born electric portfolio. With a starting price of just ₹19.49 Lakh and goes up to ₹29.45 Lakh, it's being called the 7-seater version of the Mahindra BE 6, which ranges from ₹18.90 Lakh to ₹16.90 Lakh. Verdict: Currently, Mahindra’s battery is sourced from BYD, and all their EVs are equipped with the BYD Blade battery which is the best in class. This time, in addition to the already existing 59 & 79 kWh battery packs, Mahindra is offering a 70 kWh battery for better options with the XEV 9S.

Verdict: The range, motor power and torque remains the same for both the models. The only difference is the seating capacity. Overall, you will not be compromising on performance no matter which EV you choose.

Depending on your needs, the Mahindra XEV 9S has the capability to fulfill all roles and be a reliable companion for long trips with your family. Mahindra BE 6 on the other hand offers slightly less seating capacity which might be a deal breaker for some people. The XEV 9S also has better interior comfort, making for a more practical choice when considering the 7-seater segment. Overall, both cars are reliable in their tech and specs, leaving nothing more to be desired.
