Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ Launched in India at ₹1.45 Crore; 585 hp Plug-in Hybrid Performance Sedan Arrives
Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ in India, bringing one of its most technologically advanced AMG performance sedans to the country. Introduced in New Delhi, the luxury performance sedan is available in two variants:
- Performance Edition - ₹1.45 crore (Ex-showroom)
- Racing Edition – ₹1.48 crore (Ex-showroom)
The new E 53 marks an important milestone for AMG in India by combining thrilling performance with electrified efficiency through its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain.
612 hp AMG Performance Meets Plug-in Hybrid Technology
Powering the Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ is a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 161 hp electric motor integrated into the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission.
Together, the system produces:
585 hp combined power.
750 Nm of peak torque.
Up to 612 hp with Race Start (AMG Dynamic Plus Package).
0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Electronically limited top speed of up to 280 km/h (with AMG Driver's Package).
Over 100 km Pure Electric Driving Range
Unlike conventional performance cars, the E 53 HYBRID can also be driven as a pure EV.
Its 28.6 kWh high-performance battery enables:
Over 100 km of electric-only driving range (WLTP).
Electric driving at speeds up to 140 km/h.
11 kW AC charging.
Intelligent regenerative braking with multiple recuperation levels.
This allows owners to enjoy silent, emission-free city commuting while retaining full AMG performance whenever required.
