Tata Motors has shared a new teaser of the upcoming Sierra EV, offering the clearest look yet at the electric SUV ahead of its official debut on June 30. Unlike previous teasers that focused on individual design elements, the latest video showcases the Sierra EV in motion, revealing its complete exterior design and confirming several key features.

Familiar Sierra Styling With EV-Specific Elements

The Sierra EV retains the distinctive silhouette of its ICE-powered counterpart, carrying forward the retro-inspired design cues that pay tribute to the original iconic Sierra. However, Tata has introduced several EV-specific touches to help differentiate it from the petrol and diesel versions.

Starting with the front, you'll notice a closed-off grille section in place of the conventional air intake. A full-width LED daytime running light strip stretches across the nose, while the main headlamp units are positioned lower on the bumper. The front bumper itself looks largely similar to the ICE version and features gloss-black elements along with a chunky silver skid plate.

Moving to the side, the Sierra EV continues with its upright proportions, flush-fitting door handles and signature glasshouse design. The black panel behind the rear doors recreates the iconic wraparound window effect associated with the original Sierra. Exclusive alloy wheels with aerodynamic inserts and a subtle Tata.ev badge on the front door are among the few visual cues that distinguish the EV from the standard model.

The rear design remains largely unchanged, featuring connected LED tail lamps, a clean tailgate, and a rugged bumper treatment.

Cabin And Features

In addition to revealing the design, the latest teaser also confirms several safety and driver-assistance features. Visible elements include a 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors and a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.

While Tata is yet to reveal the interior in full, the Sierra EV is expected to share much of its cabin layout with the upcoming ICE-powered Sierra. A triple-screen dashboard setup is likely, comprising a digital driver's display, a central infotainment touchscreen and a passenger-side screen.

Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, connected car technology, a premium audio system and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Powertrain

The Sierra EV is expected to be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata's electric SUV lineup. Powertrain options could include multiple battery pack choices borrowed from the Harrier EV, with both rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations likely to be offered.

Tata has already confirmed that the electric SUV will feature its Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) technology on higher variants. The claimed driving range is expected to exceed 500 km on a single charge.

Launch

Tata Motors will officially unveil the Sierra EV on June 30. Once launched, the SUV will take on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, Maruti e Vitara and the upcoming VinFast VF7.
