The Ultraviolette X47, which was introduced last year as the brand’s futuristic performance-focused electric motorcycle, has now received a new entry-level variant. With this launch, Ultraviolette aims to make the X47 more accessible to a wider audience by offering a lower starting price without compromising much on its sporty character. Priced at Rs 2.49 lakh, the new base variant could help the brand attract more buyers in the growing premium electric motorcycle segment.

With the addition of this new variant, the X47 lineup has been expanded to six variants. Meanwhile, this new variant misses out on Ultraviolette Automotive’s Hypersense radar suite, which includes features like rear collision warning, lane-change assist, overtake alerts and blind-spot detection.

Apart from this Hypersense Radar, everything remains the same. It boasts the same 7.1 kWh battery pack, which belts out 211km of claimed range. This setup comes mated with a 27kW electric motor. With that, it can sprint from 0-60km/h in just 2.8seconds and reach up to a top speed of 145km/h.

For safety, it continues with dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, and hill hold assist as standard, similar to the old base variant. Along with this, it gets three riding modes: Glide, Combat and Ballistic, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and much more

Now, the Ultraviolette X47 is available at a starting price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which goes up to Rs 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top spec X47 Desert Wing.
