Reinforcing its leadership in clean and inclusive urban mobility, Delhi has introduced 400 new electric buses under the Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector (DEVi) scheme. These buses were flagged off by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, and Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan at the Kushak Nallah Depot.The latest fleet addition is a significant boost to Delhi’s electric public transport ecosystem, which now comprises over 2,000 electric buses in daily operation.JBM Auto: Powering green mobilityOut of the 400 new electric buses, 120 units have been manufactured by India’s leading EV bus maker, JBM Auto. These buses will operate from the Ghazipur Depot, connecting key neighbourhoods across the city and enhancing last-mile connectivity.These JBM electric buses are equipped with an Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS) to ensure smoother operations, better tracking, and enhanced commuter convenience.
