Citroen has officially teased the updated eC3 ahead of its launch in India. The electric hatchback is all set to receive a mid-cycle update, similar to the changes introduced on the C3 hatchback last year. While the overall design will remain familiar, the facelift is expected to bring several styling revisions and feature upgrades. So, without delay, let's get into the details.

Exterior

The facelifted eC3 is expected to feature a refreshed front-end design with projector LED headlamps and LED fog lamps. Citroen may also introduce redesigned bumpers, updated wheel designs, and new colour choices, including dual-tone paint schemes. Since this is a cosmetic update, the dimensions and overall silhouette of the electric hatchback are expected to remain unchanged.

Interior

Most of the improvements are likely to be focused on the interior. The updated eC3 could borrow the 7-inch digital instrument cluster from the latest C3 hatchback. Higher variants may also get features such as a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and six airbags for improved safety.

The dashboard layout is expected to remain largely unchanged, retaining the distinctive AC vents and textured dashboard design. The 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also likely to continue. Citroen may further improve the overall fit and finish of the cabin to offer a more premium feel.

Battery And Range

Mechanically, it is expected to remain unchanged. The updated eC3 is likely to continue with the existing 29.2kWh battery pack paired with a single front-mounted electric motor. The setup produces 57 hp and 143 Nm of torque and offers a claimed driving range of 246 km on a full charge.

Pricing And Rivals

The current Citroen eC3 is priced between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 13.26 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version is expected to carry a slight premium when it arrives later this year. Once launched, it will continue to compete with rivals such as the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV in the segment.
