Ferrari's first all-electric car, the Luce, makes its India debut today, 17 October 2026, at the Universo Ferrari exhibition at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in New Delhi. This is a showcase, not a sales launch: Ferrari has not announced an India launch date or an India price for the Luce. The exhibition runs until 1 November 2026, with the first two days (17 and 18 October) invite-only and public entry from 19 October. The Luce is a four-door, five-seat EV with four motors, 1,035 hp, a 122 kWh battery and a claimed range of over 530 km.
What Ferrari is showing in India
The Luce is the headline EV exhibit at Universo Ferrari, Ferrari's immersive brand exhibition, which is coming to India for the first time. Alongside the Luce, reports say the show will feature the F80 supercar, 849 Testarossa, 12Cilindri, Purosangue and Amalfi Spider, plus a Classiche heritage zone and the Ferrari Hypersail sailing project, shown in Asia for the first time.
The Luce was first revealed globally in Rome on 25 May 2026. Its India appearance is the first time Indian visitors can see the car in person.

Ferrari Luce specs at a glance
Ferrari has published most of the Luce's headline figures since the May reveal. The figures below are Ferrari's claims, not independent test results.

| Peak power | 1,035 hp (1,050 cv / 772 kW) in Launch Control mode |
| Battery | 122 kWh, 800V architecture |

Ferrari builds the Luce's electric motors, inverter and power control unit in-house. The car also gets active suspension and rear-wheel steering.
Ferrari has not published a usable battery capacity figure, so the 122 kWh number is the gross capacity.
Design and cabin
The Luce breaks from Ferrari tradition. It is a four-door fastback and the first five-seater Ferrari, with a shape developed by Ferrari's design centre in collaboration with LoveFrom, the studio led by former Apple design chief Jony Ive and Marc Newson. Ferrari says it has the lowest drag coefficient of any road-going Ferrari.
Inside, the cabin avoids an all-touch layout. You get a three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons, a three-dial instrument display, a 10-inch touchscreen that sits alongside physical switches, and a red drive-mode selector. The design has divided opinion since the reveal, which is worth knowing before you judge the car from photos alone.
Price and launch: what is confirmed and what is not
| Item | Status |
| Luce on show in New Delhi from 17 October | Confirmed |
| Specs (power, battery, range, 0 to 100 km/h) | Confirmed by Ferrari (claimed figures) |
| India launch date | Not announced |
| India price | Not announced |
| Global starting price | Reported at around €550,000 in Italy |
| Expected India price of ₹8.5 crore to ₹9.5 crore | Unofficial estimate from reports |
| India delivery timeline | Not announced |
A straight currency conversion of the reported €550,000 Italian price comes to roughly ₹6.1 crore, according to reports, but that figure is not an India price. It leaves out Indian import duties, taxes and local costs, which is why the unofficial India estimates are well above it.
Global reveal, auction record and deliveries
Ferrari unveiled the Luce in Rome on 25 May 2026. Customer deliveries were guided for October 2026, and reports say the 2026 allocation of roughly 500 cars was sold out within two months of orders opening. Ferrari has not publicly disclosed how many Luces it plans to build, so treat the allocation figure as a report, not a company statement.
In August 2026, the first production car, "Chassis 0", sold for $40 million at an RM Sotheby's charity auction at Monterey Car Week, a record for a new car sold at auction. All proceeds go to the Ferrari Foundation's education programmes. Some reports put the figure at over ₹380 crore at current exchange rates. That car is due for delivery to its buyer in early 2027.
What this means for Indian buyers
If you are an Indian buyer hoping to order a Luce, there is nothing to book yet. Here is what you can do right now:
- See it in person at Universo Ferrari from 19 October if you have a ticket.
- Wait for Ferrari India to announce a launch date and price before expecting any order process.
- Do not rely on rupee estimates you see online. Until Ferrari publishes an India price, every figure is a guess.

Evfy's Take
The Luce's India appearance follows a familiar pattern for ultra-luxury EVs: show first, announce sales later. The Bentley Torcal is expected in India in the second half of 2027, while the Porsche Cayenne Electric is already delivering. The Luce is at the earliest stage of the three, with a car on show and no commercial detail.
Two further points are Evfy's own reading, not Ferrari statements:
- With the 2026 global allocation reportedly sold out and deliveries only starting this month, Indian availability before 2027 looks unlikely.
- The Luce can take up to 350 kW at the charger, but that peak speed only matters if a charger delivers it. Whether Indian public chargers can match that output is a separate question from the car's capability.
