Jeep's next-generation Compass has been leaked online ahead of its official spring debut in Europe. The upcoming SUV, part of Jeep’s “Freedom of Choice” strategy, will be offered in fully electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, with select trims featuring all-wheel drive.Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform—the same as the Peugeot E-3008 and Opel Grandland—the Compass EV promises impressive specs. The Performance pack variant boasts a WLTP range of up to 435 miles (700 km), while the Standard pack offers around 310 miles (500 km).Leaked images, reportedly first surfaced on Brazilian website Quatrorodas, reveal several Compass trims, including the EV variant. The updated design stays true to Jeep’s heritage with the seven-slot grille, now closed off, and includes modern elements like vertical LED headlamps and a rear LED light bar featuring the Jeep logo. The Compass EV will be produced at Jeep’s Melfi plant in Italy and in Brazil. Though pricing is yet to be confirmed, Jeep promises the new model will deliver “affordable Jeep capability” across all powertrains. For context, the 2025 Compass starts at $26,900 in the US, while the 4xe plug-in hybrid begins at €42,995 ($48,500) in Europe.Interestingly, Stellantis has halted all development activity at its Brampton plant in North America, including work on the next-gen Compass, as it reconsiders powertrain options for the market.
