MG Motor has announced a price hike of up to 1.5% across most of its vehicle range, effective from July 1, 2025.
Amid rising input costs and broader macroeconomic pressures, the company has deemed it necessary to partially offset the impact through a pricing adjustment. This is a standard industry response to factors such as fluctuating raw material prices, logistics costs and currency volatility which continue to affect automotive production and distribution costs.

JSW MG Motor India has stated that the price hike is being implemented to ensure continued product quality and service support, while maintaining business viability in a dynamic economic environment.
The revision will be applicable across various models and variants, with exact amount varying depending on the specific configurations.
This move, though meant to maintain quality of their production line, comes at a time when the automobile industry is balancing sustained consumer demand and inflationary pressures on the supply chain. While the hike is minimal, customers are likely to weigh their options ahead of the new pricing implementation.

JSW MG Motor India had undertaken a price hike of up to 3% across its entire product portfolio effectively form January 2025. Reportedly, they clocked monthly sales of 6,304 units in May 2025, with a YoY growth of 40% over the 4,510 units sold in May 2024.
Earlier in June, to celebrate MG Motor’s six years in India, the company offered massive discounts for the ZS EV, with the range starting at an ex-showroom price of ₹16.75 lakh.
