JSW MG Motor India has teased the MG Windsor EV Indulge, a special edition marking two years of the Windsor EV in India. The teaser, posted on 8 October 2026, says MG has delivered the Windsor to over 80,000 families and shows a new body colour. Price, launch date, variants and feature changes have not been confirmed. Going by last year's Inspire Edition, reports expect a cosmetic and accessory-led special rather than a mechanical upgrade.
What MG Has Confirmed in the Teaser
The short video opens on the Windsor's LED DRL silhouette. A voiceover says MG has delivered the Windsor to over 80,000 families in a little over two years and that a more exclusive edition is coming to celebrate year two.
The video then shows a glimpse of a new colour and a side profile, and ends with the tagline that India's number one EV is "ready to INDULGE", followed by the Windsor EV Indulge logo. MG's own post uses the wording "Windsor Indulge EV", while most coverage calls it the Windsor EV Indulge. The final badge name is yet to be seen on a production car.
That is the full list of what MG has put on record so far. Everything else, from pricing to features, is expectation.
Confirmed, Reported and Unknown: The Status Table
| Detail | Status | What we know |
| Name | Confirmed | Windsor EV Indulge (MG's post words it "Windsor Indulge EV") |
| Occasion | Confirmed | Second anniversary of the Windsor EV in India |
| Sales claim | Company-stated | Over 80,000 customers, no wholesale or retail split given |
| New exterior colour | Confirmed (shade unnamed) | Teaser shows a new paint; reports differ on the exact shade |
| Cosmetic and accessory changes | Reported | Special badging, alloy accents and styling kit expected, based on the Inspire pattern |
| Powertrain | Reported | No mechanical change expected |
| Key fob in a presentation box | Reported (single source) | One report says a teaser frame shows it; treat as unverified |
| Launch date | Unknown | Reports point to a festive-season debut, no date from MG |
| Price | Unknown | Not announced |
| Number of units | Unknown | Inspire was capped at 300; Indulge cap not announced |
| Base variant and battery | Unknown | Inspire used the 38 kWh Essence; Indulge not announced |
The Colour Question
Coverage of the teaser does not agree on the shade. Some reports describe a new olive brown, while another suggests a champagne-gold style colour. MG has not named the paint, and a short teaser frame under video compression is a weak basis for naming a shade.
Until MG shares a name or a clear image, treat the colour as "new and unconfirmed". The connected LED DRLs and overall silhouette appear unchanged.
How the Windsor Reached 80,000 Sales
The Windsor launched in India in September 2024 and has been MG's volume driver since. MG's milestone announcements give a clear picture of the pace.
| Milestone | When | Source of figure |
| 40,000+ units | October 2025 (one year) | MG, at Inspire Edition launch |
| 50,000 units in under 400 days | November 2025 | MG |
| 75,000+ units (wholesale) | 6 July 2026 | MG, with 19,000+ sold in H1 CY2026 |
| 80,000+ customers | 8 October 2026 | MG, in the Indulge teaser |
Evfy's calculation: if the one-year figure of 40,000+ and the two-year figure of 80,000+ are comparable, the Windsor added roughly 40,000 units in its second year, so the pace held up. Both are rounded "over" figures and the 75,000 mark was explicitly a wholesale number, so read this as indicative, not exact. Retail registration data from Vahan is the cleaner measure of customer deliveries.

Windsor EV Line-Up and Prices Today
The Indulge will sit on top of the existing range. Prices below are ex-showroom, after MG's July 2026 revision of up to ₹60,000.
| Variant | Battery | Claimed range | Ex-showroom price |
| Excite | 38 kWh | Around 332 km | ₹14.70 lakh |
| Exclusive | 38 kWh | Around 332 km | ₹16.00 lakh |
| Exclusive Pro | 52.9 kWh | 449 km | ₹17.90 lakh |
| Essence Pro | 52.9 kWh | 449 km | ₹19.00 lakh |
The Windsor also has a standard 38 kWh Essence variant, whose revised price is not listed here. Across the range, the motor makes 134 bhp (100 kW) and 200 Nm, driving the front wheels. With Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), the Windsor starts at ₹9.99 lakh plus ₹3.9 per km.
Features common to the range include a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a panoramic glass roof and ambient lighting. ADAS is limited to the Pro variants.
Inspire Edition (2025) as the Template for Indulge
MG launched the Windsor Inspire Edition in October 2025 to mark the car's first year, and the Indulge is the clear sequel. The table shows what is known for each.
| Detail | Windsor EV Inspire (Oct 2025) | Windsor EV Indulge (teased Oct 2026) |
| Occasion | One year, 40,000+ sales | Two years, 80,000+ sales |
| Units | Limited to 300 | Not announced |
| Base variant | Essence, 38 kWh | Not announced |
| Exterior | Pearl White and Starry Black dual-tone, rose gold accents | New colour teased, shade unnamed |
| Interior | Sangria Red and black upholstery | Not shown |
| Price | ₹9.99 lakh with BaaS, about ₹16.65 lakh without | Not announced |
| Powertrain | 38 kWh, 134 bhp, 200 Nm | Reports expect no change |
| Extras | Inspire badging, accessory pack, reportedly a dashcam | Not announced |
Reports put the Inspire's premium at about ₹35,000 over the regular Essence variant. That gap is the number to watch when the Indulge price is revealed.

What Windsor Buyers Should Do Now
With no price or date, the practical question is whether to book a regular Windsor today or hold off. Here is how the two options compare.
| Buy a regular Windsor now | Wait for the Indulge | |
| Pros | Known price, immediate delivery, full choice of variants and battery | Possible new colour, badging and accessory pack, likely at a modest premium |
| Cons | No special-edition styling | Unknown price, base variant, supply and timing; limited editions can sell out fast |
| Best for | Buyers who need a car soon or want the 52.9 kWh Pro | Buyers who care about exclusivity and are not in a hurry |
A few practical checks when MG shares details:
- Compare the premium with the accessories. If the edition adds a dashcam, mats and badging, price the same items separately before paying extra.
- Check the battery and ADAS. Inspire sat on the 38 kWh car without ADAS. If you want the 52.9 kWh pack or ADAS, confirm the Indulge offers them.
- Ask about BaaS. Inspire was available with BaaS at ₹9.99 lakh. Confirm whether the Indulge repeats that and what the per-km rate is.
- Ask about existing bookings. If you have already booked a regular Windsor, ask your dealer whether it can be moved to the edition.
Evfy's Take
This is the second anniversary edition in a row, which suggests MG treats a yearly special as part of the Windsor's playbook. For a car that has not changed its platform or powertrain, a cosmetic edition is a low-cost way to give showrooms something new before the festive season.
The more interesting question is the base variant. If the Indulge again sits on a 38 kWh variant, it targets buyers who want style over range. If MG offers it on a Pro variant with the 52.9 kWh pack, it becomes a more complete car, and a different kind of purchase.
