The Munich Motor Show is just weeks away and is all set to host some major new model reveals. Brands including BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen are set to unveil some beautiful and road-ready versions of their electric models. We are also expecting other manufacturers to show a mix of production and concept cars hinting at their future EV strategy. Ahead of the show, let’s see every key EV to check out this year. The Munich Motor Show, also called the IAA Mobility 2025, will run from September 9th to 14th.Audi e-Tron Sports ConceptAudi’s CEO, Gernot Döllner, recently confirmed that the company would reveal a new electric sports car at this year’s IAA.The new model would be Audi’s “TT Moment 2.0” and should sit physically between the TT and R8 models, both of which have been recently discontinued. Though there aren’t many details, there are rumors that it could sit on the Mission R Platform due to underpin the new Porsche 718 EV.That being said, it will most likely be a 2-seater coupe and we can expect features and performance to be better than the existing electric models offered by Audi.BMW iX3One of the major announcements at the 2025 Munich Motor Show will be the new BMW iX3. The first of Munich's Neue Klasse EVs, the next-generation family SUV offers significant technological and environmental advancements. We anticipate that the design will be a more subdued version of the Neue Klasse X concept, and we are certain that it will be built on the 800V architecture, which will result in notable improvements in efficiency as well as increases in range and charging capacity.Cupra RavalCupra has already shared ‘concept’ photos of the Raval but the Munich Show will give us a better idea of the final product, albeit under camouflage. Closely related to the VW ID.2, The Cupra Raval will likely be a B-segment hatchback similar to the Seat Ibiza/VW Polo. Expect Cupra’s trademark sporty styling, 223 bhp, and a premium price tag to set it apart form the VW.Cupra ShowcarCupra’s Munich showcase will also feature its new Showcar. It isn’t destined for production but the sporty Spanish firm says the concept vehicle will “embody the brand vision and its future design language”, and is ”the perfect symbiosis between human and machine, where the driving experience and emotions reach their fullest expression”.Hyundai Ioniq 2Hyundai also plans on expanding its already extensive electric model lineup with the introduction of the Ioniq 2. Positioned as an affordable, compact EV, the Ioniq 2 is expected to be a Hyundai Bayon-sized model, giving it an edge in the small SUV segment. The Ioniq 2 will be underpinned by Hyundai’s scalable E-GMP platform, which forms the foundation for several Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis EVs. Reports suggest that it will share its battery pack and motors with the Kia EV3.Leapmotor B05The Leapmotor B05 is the Chinese-European join venture’s answer to the Volkwagen ID.3 and MG4. Details are relatively scarce but like the T03 city car and C10 SUV, we’d expect a focus on value, with a starting price of less than £30,000 (approx. ₹35 Lakh) and plenty of equipment. Leapmotor has also claimed it will do up to 650 km on a charge, but that’s likely to be on the more lenient Chinese test cycle.Mercedes Benz GLCMercedes-Benz has officially teased its next-generation electric SUV, the GLC EV, now officially named the GLC with EQ Technology. The upcoming model is set to make its global debut at the Munich Motor Show on September 7, and it brings with it a bold new design language, an upgraded infotainment experience, and a significant shift in the company’s EV branding strategy. This all-electric version of the GLC will succeed the current EQC SUV and introduce a fresh face for the German automaker’s electric vehicle lineup. The 800V platform will mean more power and significantly more range than before – think close to 650 km – plus charging power of at least 320 kW.Mercedes-AMG GT XXMercedes' Munich offering is the pragmatic, volume-market GLC, but the insane Mercedes-AMG GT XX will also make its public debut. A Porsche Taycan-troubling four-door super saloon with stunning looks and jaw-dropping stats, this is the first AMG EV built from the ground up. Three radical axial flux motors generate 1,341 horsepower, enabling a top speed of 350 kmph and a 0-100 kmph duration of less than three seconds. A custom 114kWh battery promises 850kW ultra-rapid charging and a large range.Polestar 5Speaking of Taycan rivals, Polestar’s latest prototype will also be on display at Munich. Previewed way back in 2023 and driven up the hill at Goodwood this year, the Polestar 5 is a sleek grand tourer promising more than 880 bhp with a two-motor AWD setup.Porsche Cayenne ElectricThe next-gen Cayenne marks another step toward electrification for Porsche. The Cayenne electric is based on the PPE platform and is expected to get a two-motor powertrain and a range of more than 650 kms. While Porsche hasn’t yet released technical specifications, expectations point toward power up to 996 bhp judging by the performance benchmarks of their Taycan.Skoda Vision OThe Vision O has been teased by Skoda with images showing a fairly traditional estate body shape, fronted by the Tech Deck face. The O is suspected to stand for Octavia, and is the electric version of the car. Beneath the chasis, we can expect it to be built on the VW Groups’ new SSP platform which should bring range and efficiency improvements over its existing EV range.Skoda EpiqThe Skoda Epiq is expected to arrive in 2026 and we will see the production version of it at this year’s Munich show. It’s an urban SUV similar to Hyundai Inster and promises to bring over 200 bhp and around 400 km range.Vauxhall/Opel Manta GSEOpel, and by extension Vauxhall, will bring new life to its GSE performance sub-brand in Munich with this new concept car. The teaser pictures suggest a striking angular new design with race-inspired touches. Though the body style is not clear, the press announcement referenced the Manta 400 so it is possible we could see a two-door electric coupe on the Opel stand.Volkswagen ID.2The ID.2 is VW’s electric Polo and is due to go on sale in 2026. It has already been previewed with the ID. 2all concept but Munich will feature the production-ready version. It’s based on the MEB Entry platform and bears a lot of design similarities to the existing VW Polo. However, under the skin it’s all-electric, using a front-mounted 223 bhp motor and either 38kWh or 56kWh batteries offering up to 450 km of range.Volkswagen ID.2 XThe VW ID.2 X is the tougher sibling of the ID.2 hatchback, as the name suggests. It is a small urban crossover that is anticipated to take the place of the T-Cross as an electric vehicle. It will compete against vehicles such as the Hyundai Ioniq 2 and the Renault 4. With the same powertrains and comparable performance, it and the ID.2 will be comparable to the Renault 4 and Renault 5, but with a higher, boxier, and more roomy body. The ID.2 X will be available to dealers later in 2026, just like the ID.2.
