Kinetic is a well known established 2-wheeler brand in India, making a major comeback in the electric scooter category. Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd is a subsidiary of the Kinetic group, tasked with developing solutions for electric, controllers and batteries, and the company has just filed a patent for a new electric scooter.

This new patented scooter might enter a competition with established family electric scooters like Hero Vida, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 series.

Kinetic Patent Compare
Kinetic Honda ZX compared with the new patent design

Design-wise, it seems quite similar to the Kinetic Honda ZX which was quite successful in India. While the overall silhouette seems to resemble the older design, if it wishes to compete with the current range of e-scooters, it will be expected to have an array of modern tech features in its arsenal.

The main difference that can be spotted is the alloy wheels with a three-spoke design and a front disk brake. Moreover, the grab rail is chunky single-piece unit with no rear spare wheel, quite unlike the original Kinetic Honda ZX.

While the company has not revealed any official details about the scooter, the upcoming model hints at a contemporary electric offering. The performance metrics could be comparable to those of a typical 110cc petrol-powered scooter.
