Oben Electric, India’s homegrown electric motorcycle startup, is on a serious expansion spree. After opening 10 showrooms on Republic Day this year, the company has now added 15 more in a single day — taking its total retail footprint to 35 showrooms and service centers across the country. This rapid growth marks Oben’s entry into four new states: Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana.
With this expansion, Oben Electric’s presence now includes cities like Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Indore, Hyderabad, and Warangal. The company has also bolstered its reach in major EV markets such as Delhi NCR (Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Krishna Nagar, Gurgaon), Maharashtra (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, PCMC), Kerala (Kondotty), and Uttar Pradesh (Bulandshahr).
The push is fueled by strong on-ground demand from both customers and dealers. Oben is adding 8–10 new outlets every month and is on track to cross 100 locations across 50 cities by FY26.
Riding high on the Rorr EZ
At the center of this expansion is the Oben Rorr EZ, a high-performance commuter electric motorcycle priced at ₹89,999. It offers an IDC-equivalent range of 175 km, a 0–40 km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of 95 km/h. It’s designed to offer a solid alternative to traditional ICE commuter bikes, especially as the EV segment gains momentum in India’s two-wheeler market.

To celebrate the latest openings, Oben is offering an assured gold coin to the first 30 customers at each newly launched showroom who book the Rorr EZ — a move aimed at rewarding early adopters and boosting local buzz.
Built for the long run
Oben Electric isn’t just focusing on scale, but on long-term sustainability. The brand has built its EVs with complete in-house development — from LFP batteries and fast chargers to the vehicle control units — making it the only Indian EV two-wheeler player with full vertical integration.
According to CEO Madhumita Agrawal, Oben’s success comes from “a product that performs, strong after-sales support, and a dealer model that ensures profitability and fast ROI.” With over 65% of India’s two-wheeler market falling under the commuter segment, Oben’s Make-in-India strategy is timed well to lead the EV shift in this space.
