Royal Enfield has been taking strides in the world of electric mobility as indicated by the prototype showcased at 2023 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy. Royal Enfield showcased a crude prototype of an electric off-roader called the Himalayan Electric, abbreviated to HIM-E.
After HIM-E, Royal Enfield also showcased Flying Flea range of motorcycles at 2024 EICMA Show with FF.C6 and FF.S6 models. The brand has already confirmed that the Flying Flea C6 will be launched in the Q4 of FY2026. Incidentally, all three units have been spotted in India, where the top management was supposedly testing them.
Himalayan has been the cornerstone in India’s adventure touring motorcycle segment. With Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric spied in Ladakh, one could expect it to excel in off-roading as the brand’s DNA would suggest.
Here’s what’s changed in HIM-E

Custom swingarm with exposed welds, mainframe, subframe, heel plates, and the battery case all seem to be aluminum. It has off-road pegs and aluminum luggage mounts at the front just like the Himalayan 411 and 450. The battery and motor seem to be stressed members of the chassis.
The fuel tank has been replaced with a single-piece seat element, similar to the HIM-E concept. The front beak is missing but the windscreen has been made taller. Lights are all LED with LED projector headlights and tail lights are integrated into its rear turn indicators.
With no official confirmation regarding the launch of Royal Enfield HIM-E, it is not clear how much of these components and features will make it to the final production version.
Flying Flea C6 and S6 Scrambler

Leh and Ladakh seem to be the chosen spot for Royal Enfield EV testing. With high altitudes, it’s the best place to test the off-road capability and performance of these electric motorcycles. After the HIM-E, the company’s first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea, has now been spotted undergoing performance tests in Leh. Both the variants were seen, the Flying Flea C6 and S6 Scrambler, appearing to be close to the final production model.
While FFC6 has already been officially unveiled, the S6 design is yet to be revealed. With heavy camouflage, it is clear that Royal Enfield intends to keep the final styling under wraps a little longer. However, the overall silhouette hints at a lightweight and accessible electric platform.
The Flying Flea series is expected to be ideal for the everyday urban performance. While technical details are under wraps, the expected range is around 100 km per charge, making it suitable for city commutes and short weekend rides.
The C6 is expected to be launched in Q4 of 2026, followed by the S6 Scrambler about 6 to 8 months later. Pricing is likely to fall between ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh, putting it in the premium electric motorcycle segment.
