A few days ago, Tata Motors dropped the first teaser of the upcoming 2026 Tiago facelift, revealing the updated exterior design of both the ICE and EV versions. The refreshed hatchbacks looked sharper and more modern than before, instantly grabbing attention ahead of their May 28 debut. Now, the brand has finally revealed the interiors of the Tiago EV facelift, and it looks like Tata has focused heavily on making the cabin feel more premium and tech-loaded. So, what exactly is new inside the upcoming electric hatchback? Let’s take a closer look.

Tata Motors has carried the same design language as that of the ICE version. Stepping inside, you'll be greeted with a dual-tone interior with a light grey and black colour scheme. The lighter upholstery can be seen on the seats, armrests and sections of the dashboard.

The dashboard itself has been slightly redesigned, while the centre console also receives a cleaner layout compared to the outgoing model. Tata has added ‘Tata EV’ branding on the new two-spoke steering wheel, further differentiating the electric version from the standard hatchback. Another noticeable change is the repositioned engine start-stop button, which is now placed beside the steering wheel.

One of the biggest highlights inside the cabin is the new floating-style touchscreen infotainment system, along with a separate digital instrument cluster mounted on the dashboard. The updated model also gets additional gloss black inserts across the cabin, helping it look more modern and upmarket.

In terms of practicality, Tata has added rear AC vents and seatback pockets for front passengers, making the cabin more convenient for everyday use. The teaser images also hint at a six-speaker sound system, with tweeter units visible on the A-pillars and speaker grilles on all four doors. Apart from the newly added 360-degree camera, the Tiago EV facelift is also expected to borrow several other features from the updated ICE version.

At the front, the electric hatchback now features sleek LED headlamps along with Tata EV-specific styling elements. Since it is an EV, the car retains a closed-off front grille design, while the bumper features functional-looking air curtains on either side and a wide lower air intake positioned in the centre.

Moving to the rear, the updated Tiago EV now gets connected-style tail-lamps that give the hatchback a more modern appearance. Tata has also added fresh ‘Tata EV’ badging to further highlight its electric identity. To improve both styling and aerodynamic efficiency, the facelifted model comes equipped with a roof-mounted rear spoiler and newly designed aero-friendly wheels.

Powertrains

Tata Motors has not yet revealed the official battery and motor specifications of the 2026 Tiago EV facelift. However, the outgoing version of the electric hatchback was available with two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The smaller battery variant was paired with an electric motor producing 61hp and 110Nm of torque, while the larger battery version delivered 75hp and 114Nm. In terms of driving range, the 19.2kWh model offered a claimed MIDC range of 223km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the bigger 24kWh battery pack was rated for a claimed range of up to 293km.
