Tesla has launched its first Supercharger station in India at One BKC, Mumbai, marking a major step in the company’s EV infrastructure rollout in the country.
The station features four V4 Supercharging stalls, capable of delivering up to 250 kW of peak DC charging power, making them among the fastest public chargers currently available in India. These high-speed chargers are designed to rapidly power up compatible Tesla vehicles, significantly reducing charging time compared to conventional EV chargers.
Users will be charged ₹24 per kWh, positioning it competitively within the premium EV segment. Alongside the Superchargers, the station also includes four AC destination chargers with 11 kW output, priced at ₹14 per kWh, meant for slower, overnight charging or longer stays.
The installation supports Tesla’s goal of enabling seamless intercity and urban travel for its customers. Tesla plans to set up three more such charging hubs across Lower Parel, Thane, and Navi Mumbai by the end of the September quarter, expanding access to its proprietary charging network.
With these Superchargers, Tesla aims to offer a smooth and reliable ownership experience, setting new standards for EV infrastructure in India while preparing for the rollout of the Model Y deliveries beginning in late 2025.
