The park will house units for manufacturing electric motors, chassis, steel parts, and lithium-ion cells alongside facilities to assemble lithium-ion batteries, chargers, controllers, and electronic components .Additionally, a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) Centre will be established to drive innovation and facilitate advanced product development. This unit will contribute to local progress and global advancement of EV technologies. The government believes the establishment of the park will not only position Kanpur as an EV manufacturing hub but also significantly boost the state’s economy. Alongside the park, an integrated EV component cluster will be developed to support SMEs in producing parts and components. The proximity to the DFC also gives the park a strategic advantage in terms of logistics and connectivity. Well-connected via rail and road networks, the transportation of raw materials and finished good will be without hassle. The government expects the project to create significant employment opportunities, boost local entrepreneurship, and contribute to Uttar Pradesh’s overall economic growth.
