Priced at ₹23.69 lakh for the FE2 variant and ₹24.49 lakh for the FE3, the model marks a significant moment for both the company and India’s EV market. It is positioned as the world’s first Formula E-themed special edition SUV, bringing the aesthetics and energy of global electric racing into a road-ready product aimed at India’s growing community of motorsport enthusiasts.Bookings for the limited-run BE 6 Formula E Edition begin on January 14, 2026, while deliveries of the first batch are scheduled to start on February 14, 2026. Ahead of that, customers will be able to configure their chosen variant starting December 14, 2025, giving prospective buyers time to explore customization options, including exclusive number decals offered only for the special edition. The BE 6 Formula E Edition reflects Mahindra’s involvement in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, where it competes as the only Indian team. The company has leveraged its motorsport learnings to reimagine the BE 6 with a distinctive theme, evident across the exterior and interior of the SUV. The front fascia receives a sharper, more assertive look with eyebrow-style LED daytime running lights and circular projector headlamps that form the highlight of the revised bumper. The design is further elevated by R20 alloy wheels, orange brake calipers, contrasting livery elements, and Formula E badging placed strategically across the vehicle. In terms of color choices, Mahindra offers four striking options: Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black. These hues draw inspiration from Mahindra’s Formula E racing identity and include contrasting accents depending on the base shade. The brand has emphasized that these colorways are meant to replicate the visual presence of Formula E racing machines, giving the BE 6 Formula E Edition a level of exclusivity the standard model does not carry.Inside the cabin, the motorsport theme continues with orange accents decorating the steering wheel, dashboard, door pads, and seating surfaces. The cabin also includes FIA branding on the seatbelts and a Formula E Edition plaque integrated into the interior. While the ambience is more expressive than that of the standard model, the overall layout and equipment levels remain unchanged. Customers will find a familiar dual-screen digital cockpit featuring two 12.3-inch displays, a panoramic moonroof with illuminated strips, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come as standard, as do dual-zone climate control, automatic headlamps, blind-spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags. The BE 6 platform’s five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating remains intact.Although the Formula E Edition features several unique design elements, it retains the same hardware as the high-spec Pack 3 variant of the standard BE 6. The SUV is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack paired with a rear-wheel-drive single-motor setup. This system develops 286 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to achieve a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 km/h. According to Mahindra, the BE 6 can deliver more than 600 km of range under ideal conditions, with a real-world range of approximately 500 km. Fast-charging capability remains impressive, thanks to support for 180 kW DC chargers that can replenish the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in around 20 minutes. The SUV is based on Mahindra’s INGLO architecture, a modular EV platform engineered for optimal battery performance, stability, and efficiency. INGLO has been a cornerstone of Mahindra’s EV strategy, and the BE 6 Formula E Edition serves to further highlight its versatility and performance potential. In a move that further deepens the motorsport connection, Mahindra has appointed Indian racing talent Kush Maini as brand ambassador for its Electric Origin SUV portfolio. Maini, a race winner in FIA Formula 2 and a member of the Mahindra Formula E Racing team, brings credibility and enthusiasm to the launch. Mentored by former Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen, Maini will be a central figure in several exclusive experiences offered to early buyers of the BE 6 Formula E Edition. To celebrate the launch, Mahindra is offering an attractive set of benefits for the first 999 customers. These include a track-day experience with Kush Maini at Mahindra’s Proving Track, a collector’s box containing limited-edition racing memorabilia, and an option to choose a personal number decal. Perhaps the most unique incentive is the opportunity for the first 999 customers to have their first names displayed on the Mahindra Racing car competing in the London E-Prix. Additionally, three buyers from this initial group will be chosen to receive tickets to the 2026 London E-Prix, along with exclusive paddock access.Mahindra has also revealed a BE 6 Formula E Edition Ride-On vehicle for children, priced at ₹18,000 and expected to go on sale in April 2026. This miniature version mirrors the styling of the full-size SUV and serves to extend the Formula E brand experience to younger audiences.During the unveiling, R Velusamy, President of Automotive Business at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., remarked that customer feedback suggested the BE 6 already delivered a cockpit-like driving experience. He added that the Formula E Edition builds upon this foundation to provide a more vivid and engaging interpretation of electric performance. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the company’s Automotive Division, echoed this sentiment, describing the new edition as a way of bringing the energy of electric racing directly to the road. The BE 6 Formula E Edition is positioned as a bold and expressive alternative to the standard BE 6, targeting drivers who seek exclusivity and a strong visual identity in their EV. While the core powertrain, safety, and technology package remains unchanged, the enhancements in design and experience offer a more emotional appeal. As electric mobility gains traction in India, this special edition underscores Mahindra’s ambition to blend performance, innovation, and motorsport culture within its expanding EV lineup.
