Quick Highlights:First teaser released for the production-spec Mahindra BE Rall-E.Inspired by the 2023 Rall-E concept but with toned-down design elements.Expected to share battery and motor options with the BE 6.India debut scheduled for November 26 at the Scream Electric event.Mahindra BE Rall-E Production Model Teased: What the First Look RevealsMahindra has officially teased the production-ready version of the BE Rall-E for the first time. This new electric SUV, based on the rugged 2023 Rall-E concept, will make its debut on November 26 alongside the Mahindra XEV 9s. The teaser provides a quick look at the SUV’s exterior, hinting at a design that stays close to the concept while adapting it for real-world use.BE Rall-E Design: Off-Roading Capability ExpectedThe front design is where the resemblance to the earlier concept is most noticeable. The SUV carries forward the scooped-out bonnet design and eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, similar to what is seen on the Pack One Above trim of the Mahindra BE 6. What stands out are the circular projector LED headlight housings, which look nearly identical to those showcased on the original Rall-E concept. Mahindra has also added a more prominent bash plate at the front, giving the SUV a tougher appearance than the BE 6.Moving to the side profile, the sloping roofline and sharp lines continue to echo the concept. However, as expected from a production model, several rugged elements have been softened. The off-road steel wheels seen on the Rall-E concept have been replaced with star-pattern alloy wheels designed for better aerodynamics. The roof rack that gave the concept its adventure-ready look is also missing in this version, indicating a more practical and market-ready approach. At the rear, the teaser reveals a roof-mounted spoiler and individual LED light bars that do not connect across the width of the tailgate. This goes against the current trend of full-length light bars but gives the SUV its own identity. Mahindra has also added a subtle spoiler above the tail-light housing and an infinity-shaped logo at the center of the tailgate. One more detail visible upon closer look is the shape of the front-seat headrests, which appear similar to those from the BE 6.BE Rall-E Expected Powertrain: Likely Shared With BE 6Mahindra has not yet confirmed the technical specifications of the BE Rall-E production model, but strong hints suggest that it may share its powertrain with the BE 6. If that happens, the SUV could come with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. The larger battery on the BE 6 is rated for up to 683 km (ARAI), so buyers can expect similar performance figures from the Rall-E as well.Motor options may also mirror the BE 6, offering a 231 hp setup and a more powerful 286 hp version. Both motors are mounted on the rear axle, providing a rear-wheel drive layout. If Mahindra chooses to position the BE Rall-E as a more adventure-oriented product, there may also be future possibilities of all-wheel drive, although nothing has been confirmed.BE Rall-E Interior and Features: Expected to Mirror the BE 6While Mahindra has not shown the cabin yet, the production-spec BE Rall-E is likely to borrow heavily from the BE 6’s interior. This could include the dual-screen layout for infotainment and instrumentation, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo, and the aircraft-style center structure between the front seats. In terms of features, the list may include powered and ventilated front seats, an AR-based heads-up display, an in-car camera for monitoring and video calls, a 360-degree camera system, a powered tailgate, and up to seven airbags. These features are already part of Mahindra’s newer EV lineup and will likely extend to the Rall-E.Competition and PositioningAlthough there is no direct rival for a rugged electric SUV like the BE Rall-E, it will still face competition from mainstream electric SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV and Maruti e-Vitara. Mahindra appears to be positioning the Rall-E as a niche offering with a focus on design, capability, and range. With its teaser now live, all eyes are on Mahindra’s Scream Electric event on November 26, where the BE Rall-E will finally step into the spotlight in full production form.
