In a bold move that could reshape consumer confidence in electric vehicles, Tata Motors has launched an industry-first Lifetime Battery Warranty for select models in its EV lineup including the Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev.

This announcement, expected in the coming weeks, is being hailed as a major incentive for new buyers and existing customers alike, giving long-term peace of mind on one of the most expensive components in an electric vehicle, the battery pack.

What’s Covered: Lifetime Battery Warranty Details

For First Owners:

  • Tata Curvv.ev: Lifetime Battery Warranty for 15 years, unlimited kilometers
  • Tata Nexon.ev (45 kWh variant only): Lifetime Battery Warranty for 15 years, unlimited kilometers

This warranty ensures first owners don’t have to worry about battery degradation or unexpected replacement costs for an extensive 15-year period which is a best-in-class offer in the Indian EV space.

Applies Retroactively Since Launch

Another plus point? This lifetime battery warranty will be applicable to all eligible vehicles since launch which means current owners of the Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev (45 kWh) will automatically be covered.

The company is also providing a direct benefit of ₹50,000 on the purchase of the Curvv.ev and the Nexon.ev 45 kWh.

Why It Matters

This initiative places Tata Motors well ahead of the curve in the Indian EV landscape. While most brands offer 8-year or 1.6 lakh km warranties on battery packs, Tata’s move sets a new standard, especially as battery longevity is one of the key concerns for EV buyers.

With this, Tata is not just selling vehicles, it's selling long-term trust.

If you’ve been on the fence about switching to electric, now is the perfect time to bring home a Tata EV. With zero-emission driving, premium tech, and a battery warranty that goes the distance, Tata Motors continues to lead India’s EV revolution, one bold promise at a time.
