Tata Motors is all set to reveal the production-ready Sierra EV on June 30, 2026. The electric SUV has been one of the most anticipated models from the brand ever since it was first showcased as a concept at Auto Expo 2020. Over the years, Tata has offered several glimpses of the upcoming SUV, and the final version is now ready to make its global debut. Let's take a closer look at the offerings.
Design
Although the Sierra EV and the ICE-powered Sierra share the same overall silhouette, the electric version will feature several unique styling elements.

The front fascia is expected to get a closed-off grille design, a revised bumper and EV-specific detailing. Like other Tata electric vehicles, the Sierra EV could also feature dedicated '.ev' badges and unique alloy wheel designs to distinguish it from its ICE sibling.
The SUV will retain the upright stance and boxy proportions that pay tribute to the original Sierra while incorporating modern design elements.
Cabin And Features
Inside, the Sierra EV is likely to share much of its cabin layout with the ICE model. However, it is expected to be loaded with technology and premium features.

Top-end trims will get a triple-screen setup comprising a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen and a dedicated passenger display. Lower variants may feature a dual-screen layout along with a head-up display.
Other expected features include:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Ventilated and powered front seats
- Premium sound system
- Wireless charging
- Connected car technology
- Advanced safety features
What Else Can We Expect?
The upcoming electric SUV will be based on Tata's Acti.ev+ architecture, which also underpins the Harrier EV. This platform has been developed specifically for electric vehicles.
Tata is expected to offer the Sierra EV with both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The AWD version is likely to be available with the larger battery pack option, offering improved performance and traction.
In terms of battery choices, the Sierra EV could borrow the 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs from the Harrier EV. While Tata has not revealed official specifications yet, the larger battery pack is expected to deliver a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge under ideal conditions.
Pricing And Rivals
Tata Motors is expected to price the Sierra EV between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). This would place it between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in the company's electric SUV portfolio.
Once launched, the Sierra EV will take on rivals such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara.
