TVS Motor Company has crossed the 10 lakh cumulative sales mark for its electric scooters in India. The milestone makes it only the second electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the country to achieve the feat, reflecting the rapid growth of the EV segment over the last few years.

According to Vahan registration data as of June 11, 2026, TVS has recorded total retail sales of 10,04,148 electric scooters since entering the segment in January 2020. The figure includes sales of the iQube and the recently launched Orbiter.

Growth Picks Up Pace

What's interesting is how quickly TVS has reached this milestone in recent years. While it took the brand several years to build its initial sales volume, growth has accelerated significantly since 2024.

The first five lakh electric scooters were sold over a period of around five years. The next five lakh units, however, were achieved in a much shorter time, highlighting the increasing demand for electric scooters in India.

The brand has also been recording strong monthly sales numbers in 2026, with recent months seeing some of its highest volumes yet.

A major contributor to this growth has been the TVS iQube. The electric scooter has become a popular option among buyers looking for a practical alternative to petrol-powered scooters.

Available in multiple variants and battery pack options, the iQube caters to a wide range of customers, from city commuters to those looking for a longer riding range.

Electric Scooter Market Continues To Expand

The milestone also reflects the growth of India's electric two-wheeler market. Rising fuel prices, lower running costs and improving charging infrastructure have encouraged more buyers to consider electric scooters.

Over the past few years, electric two-wheelers have become one of the fastest-growing segments in the Indian automotive industry, with monthly sales continuing to rise.

Industry sales in 2026 have remained strong, and the segment is expected to record another year of growth if current trends continue.
