Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker, Vinfast is stepping up its game in India with a strategic partnership with myTVS , one of the leading automotive service providers in the country.The collaboration aims to roll out 120 Extended Service Workshops across India, covering charging infrastructure, service centers, and dealerships in metro cities as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns. The goal is to deliver after-sales service that matches global standards and helps build consumer confidence in EV adoption.To strengthen its foothold, Vinfast has taken advantage of India’s SPMEPCI policy and invested in a manufacturing hub in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu , which is set to become a key EV production hub with an annual capacity of up to 1.5 lakh vehicles . This was preceded by a MoU signed with the Tamil Nadu government in January 2024 and involves a capital investment commitment of USD 500 million over five years.Vinfast is all set to launch their VF6 and VF7, two premium electric SUVs, equipped with smart displays and automatic software updates tailored for tech-savvy customers.Also Read: Global EV Import Duty to Reduce to 15% Under New Scheme?
