VinFast India, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer, will launch its flagship models — the VF6 and VF7, on September 6th, 2025. Both these models are locally assembled from the company’s recently launched assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The first vehicle to be produced at the new factory was the VF7.Bookings for both the e-SUVs began on July 15th for an amount of ₹21,000.The VF6 gets a 59.6 kWh battery, while the VF7 has a larger 70.8 kWh unit.VinFast VF6 — Estimated Price and SpecsThe VF6 is a family-oriented compact electric SUV, measuring approximately 4.3 meters .Designed for city commuting and family journeys, it's set to vie with upcoming electric compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6.Both Eco and Plus variants are exclusively FWD. The Eco provides 174 PS / 250 Nm with a 59.6 kWh battery (approx. 480 km range ), while the Plus boosts power to 201 PS / 250 Nm from the same 59.6 kWh battery (approx. 450 km range ).Will come in two trims – Earth and Wind and 6 color options – Jet Black, Urban Mint, Desat Silver, Zenith Grey, Infinity Blanc and Crimson Red.The Earth trim will feature an all-black cabin theme , while the Wind trim will get a dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black theme .Interior highlights include a 12.9-inch infotainment screen , connected car technology, a minimalist dashboard, and driver assist like lane-keep assistance and adaptive cruise control.VF6 is likely to be priced around ₹20 Lakh to ₹25 Lakh , and will rival Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta Electric.VF7 — Estimated Price and SpecsThe VF7 is an e-SUV with a sleek, coupe-inspired design, featuring sharp lines and striking LED light bars front and rear, a result of collaboration with Italian design house Torino Design.Globally available in Eco and Plus trims, the Eco offers 204 hp / 250 Nm (FWD) and a 70.8 kWh battery for an estimated 450 km WLTP range. The Plus variant escalates performance with 350 hp / 500 Nm and All-Wheel Drive (AWD), with an estimated range of 431 km.Will come in three trims – Earth, Wind and Sky – with the same six color options as the VF6.The base variant will offer an all-black cabin , while the Wind and Sky trims will get a dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black interior .Advanced features like a large touchscreen, digital driver display, ADAS, panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting are anticipated.VF6 is likely to be priced around ₹25 Lakh to ₹30 Lakh , and will rival Tata Harrier EV and Mahindra XEV 9e.Bookings for both the e-SUVs began on July 15th for an amount of ₹21,000.
