The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe has been revealed, and it marks a big change for AMG. This new model comes loaded with advanced technology, powerful electric motors, and a massive output of up to 1,169hp. While it moves towards an all-electric future, Mercedes-AMG has also tried to keep the familiar excitement of its performance cars alive. Let's take a closer look.
Design

Starting with the design, the AMG GT 4 Door Coupe has an absolutely bold and muscular stance. At the front, it gets an AMG-specific concave grille with vertical slats, which screams attention. That illuminated grille is joined by an illuminated massive Mercedes star at the centre. While those headlamps feature a very distinctive star-shaped DRLs, and those power domes on the bonnet are absolutely bonkers, giving it a more aggressive look.
From the side, the car carries the same coupe-like silhouette with four doors. It gets complimented by a long bonnet, wide haunches, and a strong shoulder line that runs from the front wheel arches towards the rear.

Moving to the rear, the AMG GT Coupe gets six circular turbine-like taillamps, embedded in piano-black treatment. Meanwhile, these design elements are inspired by the Vision AMG and GT XX concept, giving the production car a futuristic but recognisable appearance.
Compared to the outgoing V8 model, the 2026 AMG GT 4-Door Coupe sits around 4cm lower. It measures 5,094mm in length and 1,411mm in height. The car also has a very aerodynamic design, with a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd. Because of its large 106kWh battery pack, the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe has a kerb weight of 2,460kg.
Interiors

Inside, the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe gets a modern and performance-focused cabin. The dashboard is dominated by a wide glass display setup. It combines a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch multimedia screen, both angled towards the driver. Mercedes-AMG also offers an optional 14-inch passenger display, making the cabin feel more high-tech. The cabin also gets three physical rotary controls, part of the AMG Control Unit, which allow the driver to adjust response, agility, and traction slip levels. Apart from that, the interior is loaded with Carbon fibre trims, exquisite materials including leather and Alcantara.
