Charging an electric motorcycle on long rides is still remains the biggest concerns for many buyers. Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth are now trying to solve this problem by expanding their Type-6 DC fast-charging network across India. The two companies have announced that their fast-charging network has crossed 130 live chargers in the country. This is a big jump from their initial target of 50 chargers. The network was launched under the partnership between Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth in March 2026.
At present, these Type-6 DC fast chargers are available across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal. The companies say the chargers are being added across key cities, highways and upcoming EV corridors to make electric motorcycle ownership more practical.
Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth are not stopping here. As part of the next phase, the companies plan to add 200 more Type-6 DC fast chargers in the next two months. This will further improve charging access for Ultraviolette riders and other compatible electric two-wheelers. It is worth noting that Type-6 DC fast chargers are compatible with Ultraviolette's F77 and X-47 electric motorcycles. With that, riders will be able to find chargers in real time, track charging sessions and make digital payments through the Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth platforms.

Speaking on the announcement, Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, said, “Crossing 130+ Type-6 fast chargers ahead of schedule is in response to Ultraviolette’s expanding rider base and the broader growth of India’s electric two-wheeler market. The expansion also comes at a pivotal moment for India’s mobility sector. Recent crude-linked volatility has reinforced the need for more resilient, electricity-led mobility infrastructure. For electric mobility to scale meaningfully, charging infrastructure must evolve alongside vehicle technology with reliability, accessibility, and interoperability at its core. The rapid expansion of the Type-6 ecosystem marks an important step towards building a standardised and future-ready charging backbone for electric mobility. As adoption continues to accelerate, interoperable fast-charging infrastructure will play a defining role in enhancing rider confidence, enabling long-distance usability, and driving the next phase of EV growth in India.”
While Mohit Yadav, Founder, Bolt.Earth, added, “Crossing 100 chargers within weeks of launch is more than a milestone for us; it reflects both the pace at which India’s EV ecosystem is evolving and our ability to scale interoperable infrastructure rapidly. With a roadmap to deploy 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years, our focus remains on building one of India’s most reliable and accessible public fast-charging networks for electric two-wheelers. As adoption accelerates, scalable charging infrastructure will play a critical role in enabling seamless and dependable electric mobility experiences for riders across the country.”
The companies say the expansion comes at a time when India is focusing more on energy security, reducing dependence on crude oil imports, and building cleaner mobility infrastructure. The growing electric motorcycle market also needs better charging infrastructure to reduce range anxiety and make long-distance EV riding more practical.
