India's electric two-wheeler market was majorly dominated by scooters but with changing trends, motorcycles are getting into the race. Oben has recently launched their Rorr Evo, which begged the mark of 25,000 bookings in just 15 days. However, this is one of the fastest in the electric segment, indicating rising interest in the performance-focused commuter segment.

The Oben Rorr Evo is positioned as an everyday commuter, which comes loaded with all the essential features. Meanwhile, the list includes a projector headlamp, a 5-inch TFT display and smartphone connectivity. Some of the safety features include fall detection with emergency alerts, unified brake assist, driver alert system, and geo-fencing. The Rorr EVO also comes with SmartIQ, an AI-based ride mode that analyses riding patterns and adjusts power delivery accordingly.

Powering the motorcycle is a 9kW electric motor, which comes paired with a 3.4kWh LFP battery pack. This setup belts out a claimed range of 180km in a single charge. It can sprint 0-40km/h in just 3 seconds and can reach up to a top speed of 110km/h. When it comes to charging, it can juice up from 0-80% in just 90 minutes using a fast charger. Oben is also offering an 8-year warranty on the battery pack, which should help improve buyer confidence in the product.

Pricing

The Oben Rorr Evo is available at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), which is limited to only 10,000 customers. Moving further, it will be raised to Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The Oben Rorr Evo's palette offers four vibrant shades, including Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black, and Photon White. Customers can book their motorcycles through the official website for just Rs 777.

Oben Electric currently has a retail and service network of more than 150 showrooms and service centres across over 100 cities in more than 18 states. The brand is also planning a major expansion and aims to add 200 exclusive showrooms by the end of FY2027. Each outlet is supported by dedicated Oben Care service centres.
