Citroen seems to be gearing up for the launch of its updated eC3X in India, as the French automaker has released another teaser on its social handle. The updated eC3X is expected to boast several changes in the exterior styling along with an updated list of features. Moreover, this update will bring it in line with the brand's recently updated X range. Without further delay, let's get into the details.

While Citroen has not revealed all the details yet, the teaser images provide a glimpse of what buyers can expect from the refreshed electric hatchback. The biggest changes are expected to be on the outside. While the overall silhouette is expected to remain unchanged, the updated eC3 X is likely to adopt the design language seen on the recently refreshed C3 X. This could include redesigned bumpers, a revised front fascia, LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and LED fog lamps. New dual-tone alloy wheels and a new blue colour could also be part of the package.

Interiors

Citroen is also expected to improve the in-cabin experience. Reports suggest the updated model could receive a leather-wrapped dashboard and steering wheel, enhancing the overall sense of quality. Other expected features might include automatic climate control, ambient lighting, cruise control with speed limiter, fast USB Type-C charging ports and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror.

However, the existing 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is likely to be retained. A 360-degree camera could also make its way to the feature list, improving convenience and safety.

Moreover, the updated eC3X is expected to boast a better safety suite, which might include six airbags as standard, a notable improvement over the current model. Additional features such as a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability program (ESP), hill-hold assist and ABS with EBD are also expected to be part of the package.

Powertrain

While the feature list and styling are expected to see substantial upgrades, mechanical changes are unlikely. The updated eC3X is expected to continue with the same 29.2kWh battery pack paired with a front axle-mounted motor setup. This setup together belts out 56bhp and 143 Nm of torque. Notably, it can run up to 250 km within a single charge.

Launch Timeline

With multiple teasers now released, an official launch is expected in the coming weeks. The eC3 X will continue to rival affordable electric vehicles such as the Tata Punch EV and Tata Tiago EV, while offering buyers a refreshed design, a more premium cabin and an expanded safety package.
