Ola S1 Z Price in India
Ola has launched the S1 Z in two battery configurations:
- S1 Z 3.1 kWh — ₹79,999
- S1 Z 5.1 kWh — ₹99,999
These are introductory ex-showroom prices, so your final on-road cost will be higher after registration, insurance and other applicable charges. Ola is accepting reservations for ₹999.
The ₹20,000 gap between the two versions mainly buys you a much larger battery and a substantially higher claimed range.

This is where the S1 Z gets interesting.

So if you're buying the scooter mainly for a daily commute, don't plan your charging routine around the headline 301 km number.
Bharat Cell LFP Battery Explained

The S1 Z is more than just another affordable Ola scooter.

The S1 Z doesn't look like Ola has simply stripped the software down to hit a lower price.

Here's the practical way I'd look at it.
Choose the 3.1 kWh if...
You mainly ride around town and your daily usage is moderate.
At ₹79,999, you're getting the same 4 kW peak motor, 70 km/h top speed and MoveOS 5 as the more expensive version.
The 179 km IDC range should also be more than enough for many daily commutes — provided your real-world requirements don't push you close to that limit.
Choose the 5.1 kWh if...
You regularly cover long distances or simply don't want to think about charging as often.
The extra ₹20,000 gets you a 5.1 kWh battery and 301 km IDC range, which is a much bigger jump than the price difference might suggest.
My pick for someone who plans to keep the scooter for several years would be the 5.1 kWh version, assuming the higher upfront cost fits the budget.
But for a short daily commute, I'd save the ₹20,000 and take the 3.1 kWh model.
What Makes the New S1 Z Different?
There's a bit of confusion online because Ola used the S1 Z name before.
The earlier S1 Z announced in 2024 was a different product concept, with removable batteries and a lower starting price. Some older pages and databases still show those specifications.
The current S1 Z launched in August 2026 is a different specification package, with 3.1 kWh and 5.1 kWh integrated battery options, LFP cells, a 4 kW peak motor and up to 301 km IDC range.
So if you see an old article saying the S1 Z costs ₹59,999 or uses two removable batteries, don't use that information for the current model.
That's one of the easiest ways to end up publishing outdated specifications.

Both variants get a standard 3-year/40,000-km scooter warranty.

The bigger question isn't whether the 301 km figure sounds impressive. It does.
The question is whether your daily riding actually needs the larger battery.
