Corporate mobility solutions provider Routematic has joined hands with Green SM, the electric ride-hailing brand backed by Vietnam's VinFast ecosystem, to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in employee transportation across India.
The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during Green SM's official India launch event in New Delhi. As part of the partnership, Routematic will integrate Green SM's electric vehicle fleet into its corporate transportation operations, helping businesses transition towards cleaner and more sustainable employee mobility solutions.
Focus On Sustainable Workforce Transportation
The collaboration comes at a time when companies are increasingly looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint and meet sustainability targets. Employee transportation has emerged as one of the key areas where businesses can significantly cut emissions by replacing conventional fuel-powered vehicles with electric alternatives.
Routematic currently serves more than 400 enterprise customers across India and operates in major business hubs including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi-NCR. By leveraging Green SM's EV fleet, the company aims to further strengthen its electric mobility portfolio while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability.
Corporate EV Adoption Gathering Pace
According to Routematic, its existing EV operations in Bengaluru and Pune have already demonstrated the environmental benefits of electrification. The company claims that more than 400 electric vehicles deployed across its network have helped reduce fuel consumption by nearly 15.7 lakh litres annually.
As India's corporate sector places greater emphasis on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, large-scale electrification of employee transportation is expected to gain momentum over the coming years.
Green SM
Green SM officially entered the Indian market earlier this month, with Delhi-NCR becoming its first operational region. The company currently operates electric mobility services across multiple countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Its India operations are built around the all-electric VinFast Limo Green seven-seater SUV, which is designed specifically for commercial passenger transport applications. The company is positioning itself as a premium electric mobility provider with a focus on safety, service quality and professional fleet operations.
A key aspect of the partnership will be the integration of Green SM's electric vehicle fleet with Routematic's AI-powered fleet and transportation management platform.
The combination is expected to improve route planning, fleet utilisation and operational efficiency while offering enterprises a more sustainable commuting solution for employees.
