Ather Energy delivered 500 Konarc electric scooters in Delhi in a single day on Sunday, 25 October 2026, at a customer handover event attended by buyers and their families. Delhi-NCR is backed by 17 Ather experience centres and 209 fast-charging points, according to the company. The Konarc is Ather's most affordable scooter, built on its new EL platform, with six variants across the S and Z lines and a claimed IDC range of up to 200 km. Ather has not said which variants were handed over, but only the S 125 and S 161 have been in delivery since September, so those are the likely candidates.
What happened in Delhi on 25 October
Ather Energy held a mass handover event in Delhi on Sunday, 25 October, where 500 Konarc scooters were delivered to customers in one day. Reports describe it as a celebratory event with buyers and their families present, rather than a routine day of showroom handovers.
Delhi is a key North India market for Ather. The company says it currently runs 17 experience centres and 209 fast-charging points across Delhi-NCR.
Ather launched the Konarc on 29 August 2026 at its Community Day in Bengaluru, then introduced it in Delhi in late September at a special price of ₹79,999 (ex-showroom Delhi, including subsidy). Deliveries began in a phased manner from mid-September.

Why Delhi matters for the Konarc
Delhi is one of the few markets where the Konarc's pricing is shaped by a state incentive from day one. The Delhi EV Policy 2026 came into effect on 1 July 2026 and offers a first-year purchase incentive of ₹10,000 per kWh, capped at ₹30,000, for eligible electric two-wheelers. A separate ₹10,000 scrapping incentive applies if you scrap a BS-IV or older two-wheeler.
Delhi buyers have taken to the scheme in large numbers. By late September, the state had received 5,678 incentive applications, with 5,621 (about 99%) for electric two-wheelers.

What this means if you are booking a Konarc in Delhi
If you want a scooter soon, look at the S 125 or S 161. These are the only variants that have been delivering since September.
Do the subsidy sum before you compare prices. As an illustration using Bengaluru ex-showroom prices, the S 125 (2.7 kWh) could attract about ₹27,000 under the per-kWh formula, while the S 161 (3.5 kWh) hits the ₹30,000 cap. Delhi ex-showroom prices and final eligibility are set by Ather and the Delhi government, so treat this as a rough guide and confirm at your dealer. This is Evfy's own calculation, not an Ather figure.
Do not treat ₹79,999 as the price of what is available today. Reports tie that introductory figure to the base 100 km variant, which is not yet delivering.
Check the transfer rule. Under the policy, a vehicle that takes the purchase incentive cannot get an NOC to transfer or re-register outside Delhi for three years from the policy notification date.
Evfy's Take
The headline number is real, but it is worth reading for what it is. A 500-unit handover event looks like a batch milestone, a sign that Konarc supply is reaching Delhi in volume, rather than a measure of how many scooters Ather sells in the capital on a normal day. Ather has not said how many of the 500 were pre-booked from earlier weeks or how the handovers were spread across its 17 centres.
The scale is easier to judge against the wider numbers. Ather's CEO said the Konarc sold fewer than 10,000 units in September, its first month of sales, and the company has said it cannot meet roughly 18,000 to 20,000 units of monthly retail demand because of production limits. Against that backdrop, a 500-unit day in one city tells us demand in Delhi-NCR is there and the constraint is supply. That is our reading, not an Ather statement.
