Fresh patent images of Zero Motorcycles' upcoming electric motorcycle have surfaced online, giving enthusiasts a closer look at what the production-ready model could look like. Known as the Lompico, the electric bike was previously showcased as a concept, but the latest design drawings reveal several new details about its styling and hardware.
Interestingly, the leaked images also highlight the motorcycle's strong connection with Hero MotoCorp. The upcoming Zero Lompico appears to be based on the same platform as the Hero Vida VxZ concept, which was unveiled at EICMA 2025. This development comes as both companies have been jointly working on future electric motorcycle projects.
Same Platform, Different Personalities
The patent drawings suggest that the Lompico and the Vida VxZ share most of their core mechanical components. These include the steel trellis frame, battery pack, electric motor, swingarm, suspension setup, wheels, braking system and even the TFT instrument console.
Despite the common underpinnings, both motorcycles follow completely different design philosophies. While the Vida VxZ adopts a more traditional street motorcycle appearance, the Zero Lompico has a much more futuristic and aggressive design.

One of the biggest highlights of the Lompico is its distinctive styling. The bodywork appears to flow seamlessly from the front to the rear, creating a clean and modern look.
At the front, the bike features an unusual lighting setup consisting of a central LED headlamp flanked by two vertical LED light strips. The sharp body panels surrounding the headlight give the motorcycle a concept-like appearance. Similar vertical lighting elements can also be seen at the rear, helping create a unique visual identity.
Compared to the Vida VxZ, the Lompico looks slimmer and more angular, with design details that are likely aimed at global markets.

Battery And Performance
While official specifications are yet to be announced, reports suggest the motorcycle could be powered by a new 8.8kWh battery pack. The battery is expected to work alongside a 30kW electric motor, equivalent to around 40hp.
The motor is believed to be derived from Zero's existing Z-Force powertrain technology and should deliver performance comparable to a modern 300cc petrol-powered motorcycle. If these figures are accurate, the Lompico could offer a strong mix of everyday usability and sporty performance.

Although the motorcycle is currently known as the Lompico, recent trademark filings indicate that Zero could launch the bike under a different name. Reports suggest the company may use the "SF" badge for the production model.
A similar change could also happen on Hero's side. Since the VxZ name appears to reference the collaboration between Vida and Zero, the final production motorcycle may eventually receive a completely new name before launch.
With patent images now revealing most of the bike's design, an official unveiling may not be far away. If the production version remains close to the leaked drawings, the Zero Lompico could become one of the most exciting electric motorcycles to emerge from the Hero-Zero partnership.
