Skoda has officially commenced production of the all-new Epiq EV at Volkswagen Group's manufacturing facility in Navarra, Spain. The compact electric SUV is an important product for the Czech carmaker as it is set to become the most affordable electric vehicle in its global lineup, helping the brand attract a broader range of EV buyers.
Expected to be priced at around €26,000 (roughly Rs 26 lakh), the Epiq has been developed as a practical and accessible electric SUV. While compact in size, the model aims to offer the space and versatility that buyers typically expect from a Skoda. Here’s a closer look at what the new Skoda Epiq EV has to offer.
Design And Dimensions

The Epiq is the first production model to fully adopt Skoda's latest Modern Solid design philosophy. At the front, it features a gloss-black panel in place of the traditional grille, accompanied by distinctive T-shaped LED daytime running lights. The clean and minimalist styling gives the SUV a fresh look without being overly futuristic.
From the side, the Epiq carries the proportions of a compact crossover with short overhangs, roof rails and aerodynamically designed 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear continues the design theme with T-shaped LED tail lamps, Skoda lettering and a simple tailgate layout.
In terms of dimensions, the electric SUV measures 4,171mm in length, 1,798mm in width and 1,581mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 2,601mm.
Interiors
The Epiq EV features a minimalist cabin layout and a practical cabin layout. On the other hand, the feature suite includes a 13-inch Android-based infotainment, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, Canton sound system and much more. Apart from this, the safety suite includes seven airbags as standard, an ADAS suite with features such as Front Assist, Lane Assist, Side Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and optional Travel Assist 3.0 with traffic light response and remote parking functions.

Despite its compact footprint, Skoda has focused heavily on practicality. The Epiq offers a 475-litre boot, which can be expanded to 1,345 litres by folding the rear seats. This makes it one of the more spacious options in its segment and aligns with Skoda's reputation for practicality.
Battery And Range
The Epiq will be offered with multiple battery and motor configurations. Power outputs are expected to range from 85kW to 155kW, depending on the variant.
The top-spec version is claimed to deliver a driving range of up to 441km on a single charge under the WLTP cycle. Fast-charging support is also part of the package, with the battery capable of charging from 10 to 80 % in as little as 24 minutes under suitable conditions. Moreover, to maximise range and efficiency, Skoda has worked extensively on the vehicle's aerodynamics. The Epiq boasts a drag coefficient of 0.275, aided by features such as active cooling shutters, aero-optimised wheels, roof spoiler elements, air curtain channels and a smoother underbody design.
Will It Be Coming To India?

As for India, Skoda has not officially confirmed plans to launch the Epiq EV. However, with the brand actively looking to expand its electric vehicle portfolio and the Indian EV market continuing to grow, the compact electric SUV could be considered for the country in the future. If introduced, the Epiq would likely sit as an entry-level EV in Skoda India's lineup and could appeal to buyers looking for a practical electric SUV from a global brand.
