The Indian EV scene is about to get even more exciting. Stellantis, the global giant behind brands like Jeep and Citroën , has confirmed it’s bringing the Chinese EV brand Leapmotor to India before the end of 2025.While plans to launch in late 2024 were earlier on the table, the timelines have shifted slightly. Now, Stellantis is gearing up to introduce Leapmotor’s fresh lineup to Indian buyers.What to expect from Leapmotor in India?Leapmotor has been making headlines globally for its focus on innovation, tech, and accessible electric cars. Although the brand hasn’t officially revealed which models will land in India, here’s what we can expect:Leapmotor T03: A compact electric hatchback, a little over 3.6 metres long, designed for city life. It offers a real-world range of around 265 km (WLTP) . If launched, it would take on the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV in the affordable EV space.Leapmotor C10: A larger SUV positioned close to mid-size SUVs like the XUV400. Offered globally with both full-electric and range-extender EV options, the C10 could cater to buyers looking for more versatility and space.Leapmotor B10: Recently showcased at the Paris Motor Show, the B10 is an electric SUV packed with high-end tech, including LiDAR-based autonomous driving features . It could add a strong premium option to Leapmotor’s India strategy, and would rival the likes of the Creta EV.Stellantis’ big EV pushAccording to Stellantis India’s CEO, Shailesh Hazela , the goal is to offer Indian consumers EVs that blend cutting-edge tech, comfort, and sustainability.
