Mahindra has commenced deliveries of the XEV 9S Pack One Above variant, expanding the availability of its latest electric SUV. Positioned between the BE 6 and the flagship XEV 9E in the brand's EV lineup, the XEV 9S is priced from Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). While it may be the entry-level trim, the Pack One Above comes equipped with a long list of comfort, convenience and safety features, making it one of the most value-packed variants in the range. Here's a closer look at what the electric SUV offers.
Mahindra XEV 9S Base Pack One Above
Starting with the looks, one thing you'll instantly notice is that there's no drastic difference between the base and top variant, in terms of aesthetics. However, this trim comes loaded with a ton of features, including LED projector headlamps, DRLs, flush door handles, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights and more. Moreover, this variant misses out on alloys because it gets 18-inch steel wheels with covers. Apart from these features, like front parking sensors, front camera, and automatic flush door handles are also missing.
Stepping inside, it looks the same as the top spec due to that triple screen setup on offer, right from the base trim. Meanwhile, the centre console is also similar to the top spec with electronic parking brake, i-drive pedal and illuminated gear selector. However, even the steering wheel looks similar with all buttons on offer. But knowing the fact that it is a base variant, misses out on a lot of features. These features include soft-touch materials, powered and ventilated seats, dual zone climate control, and auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charging, premium Harman Kardon audio system and more.
What's On Offer?
The XEV 9S Pack One Above comes equipped with LED interior lighting, including a boot lamp, three-row seating, a front centre armrest with a cooled storage compartment, Type-C charging ports, rear AC vents, adjustable headrests, fabric seat upholstery, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, a dedicated front passenger display, hydraulic bonnet struts, a 150-litre frunk, hill descent control, six airbags, and illuminated logos.
Notably, the XEV 9S offers two packs right from the base variant itself, which include 59 kWh and 69 kWh. When paired up with an electric motor, both packs can run up to 521km and 679km, respectively, within a single charge. However, the RWD configuration comes as standard.
