Actor, filmmaker and choreographer Prabhu Deva has added the MG M9 luxury electric MPV to his garage. The vehicle was recently delivered to the veteran entertainer through MG SELECT, the premium retail channel of JSW MG Motor India.
The MG M9 is positioned as the brand's flagship people mover and is aimed at buyers looking for a chauffeur-driven luxury experience. Prabhu Deva joins a growing list of celebrities opting for premium electric vehicles as the Indian EV market continues to expand.
MG M9 Focuses On Rear-Seat Comfort
One of the biggest highlights of the MG M9 is its second-row seating package. The luxury MPV comes equipped with powered captain seats featuring ventilation, heating and massage functions. The seats also offer multiple adjustment options to maximise comfort during long journeys.
Other premium touches include dual sunroofs, ambient lighting, premium leather upholstery, armrest-mounted controls and a 13-speaker audio system designed to deliver an immersive in-cabin experience.
Moreover, the MG M9 is built using a high-strength body structure and comes equipped with seven airbags, front and rear disc brakes, electronic stability program (ESP), a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and more. The luxury MPV has also received five-star safety ratings in international crash tests.
Powertrain
Powering the MPV is a 90kWh NMC battery pack, which can run up to 548 km within a single charge. When paired up with a front-mounted electric motor, this setup belts out 245 hp and 350 nm of torque.
The M9 supports 160 kW DC fast charging, which can juice up the battery from 0-100% in just 90 minutes. However, an 11 kW AC charger can do it in 10 hours.

The MG M9 is sold through MG SELECT outlets, the brand's premium retail network that also showcases the Cyberster. Currently, MG SELECT operates across multiple cities in India, catering to buyers interested in the brand's luxury offerings.
