Bihar Police has ordered 1,100 Revolt BlazeX electric motorcycles for patrolling, Revolt Motors announced on 4 November 2026. The bikes will be delivered in Patna, with a contractual completion deadline of January 2027. Revolt says it is working to finish deliveries by November 2026. The order takes the BlazeX beyond individual riders and into law enforcement, which is a big step for electric two-wheelers in public service.
What the order covers
Revolt Motors, a wholly owned subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises, has secured the order to supply 1,100 BlazeX bikes for Bihar Police patrolling operations. The company calls it an important step in its institutional business, extending the bike from private riders to public sector mobility.
RattanIndia Enterprises Chairperson Anjali Rattan said institutional adoption is "an important avenue for expanding the role of electric bikes in India." Order value, per-unit pricing and any police-specific fittings are not announced yet.
Why the BlazeX suits patrol work
Patrol teams need bikes that are easy to keep charged and ready. Revolt points to a few features that help:
- A claimed range of up to 150 km on a full charge.
- Charging from a standard 10A power socket, so stations don't need dedicated chargers.
- A removable battery, which adds another way to charge.
- Under-seat storage that lets riders carry the charger along.
- Inbuilt GPS, which supports vehicle tracking across a large fleet.
Revolt also says electric bikes cost far less to run and maintain than petrol equivalents, and that the savings add up quickly across a fleet of this size.

Bihar's growing EV footprint
The order fits a state that is already warming to electric. Reports put Bihar's EV registrations at 23,096 in FY2024-25, with 22,133 of them two-wheelers, mostly in Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur. The state has also set a goal of 15% of new vehicle registrations being electric by 2028 and offers tax exemptions and incentives under its EV policy.
Revolt brings a sizeable base to the table, with 60,000+ riders and 182+ dealerships across India. It has worked with police forces before too, including an earlier induction of its bikes into the Kochi Police fleet.
Evfy's Take
Scale is the story here. By our own calculation, 1,100 bikes equals roughly 70% of the 1,563 electric motorcycles Oben registered in October 2026. If Revolt meets its November target, one order could add as much volume as a strong month of retail sales.
Revolt describes itself as India's No.1 electric bike brand, which is the company's own claim. Our October 2026 sales coverage had Oben ahead, with Revolt closing in, and a fleet delivery like this could help it narrow the gap.
