Hero MotoCorp's electric brand Vida has showcased three electric two-wheeler concepts at EICMA 2026 in Milan: the UBX urban explorer, the DIRT.E MX7 off-roader for adult riders and Project VXZ, an electric motorcycle developed with US-based Zero Motorcycles. The three cover city riding, off-road riding and premium road performance, and they return to the show after first appearing at EICMA 2025. Hero has also said its first electric motorcycle arrives in 2027. Specifications, pricing and production timelines have not been announced yet.
What Vida Showed At EICMA 2026
Vida used Hero MotoCorp's EICMA 2026 stand to present three concepts that point to where the brand is heading beyond scooters. Hero describes the UBX as a neo-naked urban explorer and a proto-vehicle, the MX7 as a high-performance electric off-roader for adult riders, and the VXZ as an electric motorcycle developed in partnership with Zero Motorcycles.
| Concept | Type | Highlights on display |
| Vida UBX | Neo-naked urban explorer | Streetfighter styling, wide handlebar with handguards, TFT screen, LED lighting |
| Vida DIRT.E MX7 | Electric off-roader for adult riders | Motocross design, long-travel suspension, spoked wheels, knobby tyres |
| Vida Project VXZ | Electric motorcycle with Zero Motorcycles | Pink and purple finish, belt drive, large colour display, USD forks |
Specifications and pricing have not been announced yet for any of the three.

The UBX arrives with a naked streetfighter stance and supermoto-inspired cues. It gets a wide handlebar with handguards, a TFT screen, LED lighting, a single-piece seat and upside-down shocks. A swingarm-mounted tyre hugger and number plate holder, plus dual-tone wheels, add to the sporty look.
It builds on the Ubex concept shown at EICMA 2025, which used the same "Neo-Naked Urban Explorer" description. Powertrain details have not been revealed yet.

Vida DIRT.E MX7

The MX7 is Vida's adult-sized electric off-roader. The concept follows a proper motocross layout with long-travel suspension, a flat seat, spoked wheels and knobby tyres. It sits at the performance end of the DIRT.E line, which also includes the kids' DIRT.E K3.
At EICMA 2025, the MX7 Racing Concept was shown with a lightweight carbon-fibre frame and a design inspired by Hero's Dakar rally programme. Battery and motor details have not been announced yet.
Vida Project VXZ

The VXZ is the showpiece of the three. Developed with Zero Motorcycles, this year's display bike wears a vivid pink and purple finish with patterned graphics against a black frame.
Photographs from the stand show:
A charging inlet under a hinged cover on the tank-style upper enclosure
A belt final drive, with the motor positioned near the swingarm pivot
Upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock and disc brakes at both ends
A large colour display with Sport mode, parking function, settings, battery and range information, plus ABS and traction control symbols
Separate rider and pillion seats and a raised tail
The VXZ keeps the headlamp shape, exposed frame sections and raised tail seen in its earlier design patent drawings, which shows a clear line from concept to showcase. Battery capacity, motor power and range have not been revealed yet.
What Else Vida Announced At EICMA 2026
The concepts sat alongside real commercial progress from Hero's stand:
European operations begin: Vida has started customer deliveries, with a direct-to-consumer model across 10 European countries for the DIRT.E K3, supported by partner Elektrorider.
Vida VX2: an urban scooter with a 140 km WMTC range (Eco mode) and 90 km/h top speed, using twin removable IP67-rated batteries. Test rides and retail begin in December 2026 across six European markets.
DIRT.E K3: the adaptive off-roader for young riders, with a three-stage adjustable platform and a 100-unit numbered 6Days Limited Edition.
TUfast Moto Electric: Vida is title sponsor of the Technical University of Munich's student electric racing team.
Novus Labs: Hero's innovation hub showed the NEX 1 (15 km/h top speed, 20 km range) and the NEX 2 trike (targeted range above 150 km WMTC, top speed above 100 km/h) as working prototypes.
Where These Concepts Stand For India
Hero has said, through the head of its emerging mobility business, that its first electric motorcycle arrives in 2027. It will be built on two dedicated platforms, UBEX and VXZ, that are designed as motorcycle architectures and not derived from the Vida scooter platform. Design patents for both have been filed in India, a good sign of the design direction. The launch date and the first model have not been announced yet.

Should You Wait For A Vida Electric Motorcycle?
If you are planning an electric motorcycle purchase for 2027, Vida is worth keeping on your shortlist. Hero's scale and dealer reach make it a strong entrant once a production model is named. Pricing and on-sale dates have not been announced yet, so for a purchase this year, the electric motorcycles already on sale remain the practical choice.
Evfy's Take
Vida's EICMA 2026 showing tells a clear story: the brand is selling scooters and a kids' dirt bike in Europe today and previewing motorcycles for what comes next. Three concepts, three riding styles and a confirmed 2027 timeline make this the most complete picture of Hero's electric motorcycle plans so far.
For India, the pair to watch is the UBX and the VXZ. The VXZ shows the clearest continuity from concept to patent drawings to show bike, while the UBX, as a proto-vehicle, could shape a more accessible city motorcycle. Our suggestion: follow design patents for direction, and watch for certification filings as the signal that a launch is close.
