E3 Trion Officially Launched at ₹99,999: Full Price, Variants, Range and Everything Confirmed

E3 Electric.AI has officially launched the Trion in India today, branding it "India's First Intelligent Electric Scooter." Pre-bookings are now open across Bengaluru on the company's official website. Here's the complete breakdown — price, variants, range, features, and everything else E3 confirmed at the launch event.

The Trion comes in three variants C1, C1x and C2 — at introductory ex-showroom prices (Bengaluru) of:

Battery and Range, Variant by Variant

The C1's battery is portable, meaning it can be charged at home, at the office, or at any public charging point, you're not tied to a wall socket next to where the scooter is parked. The C1x and C2 switch to a larger, fixed 3 kWh pack instead. Notably, the C2 returns less range than the C1x despite sharing the same battery size a trade-off for the extra performance it's tuned for (more on that below).

E3 is backing the battery with an extended warranty of up to 1 lakh km or 8 years, whichever comes first, a genuinely long warranty period for this segment.

Motor and Performance

All three variants use a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) hub-mounted motor with what E3 calls "Rotoring" function. Every variant gets Eco and Power ride modes, but the range-topping C2 adds a Sport mode, which brings a proper performance bump: a 0–40 kmph sprint in about 6 seconds, and a top speed of 82 kmph. The C1 and C1x, running in their standard modes, top out lower around 67 kmph.

Riding on 14-inch wheels with tubeless tyres and alloy rims, the Trion notably skips ABS across the entire lineup worth factoring in if you're cross-shopping against rivals that do offer it at a similar price.

E3 says the Trion's styling draws inspiration from the Mars Rover, with dual projector LED headlamps up front and a distinctive "collimator" signature LED tail lamp at the back. It'll be sold in six colours: Solar Red, Misty Green, Graphite Grey, Nova Blue, Teal Blue, and Luna White.

Storage and Accessories

Total storage across the boot, floorboard, and glove box adds up to 52 litres — a genuinely practical number for a family scooter expected to carry helmets, groceries, or a laptop bag. E3 has also rolled out a full accessory line for the Trion at launch, including a backrest, a helmet, a phone holder, and a ladies' footrest, among others.

The Trion gets a 5-inch colour display that pairs with the rider's smartphone. E3 says the scooter ships with 100+ features in total, built on its "TRIAXISFRAME" modular architecture and AI-led predictive intelligence stack. The headline features called out at launch include:

The TRIAXISFRAME Platform

E3 built the Trion on what it calls the TRIAXISFRAME modular architecture — a shared chassis designed so future variants and upgrades (batteries, motors, controllers) can build on the same base platform rather than requiring a ground-up redesign each time. It's the same modular promise E3 was teasing pre-launch, now with an official name attached to it.

What the CEO Said

Speaking at the launch, E3 Electric.AI founder and CEO Sanjeev P. described the Trion as being built with AI at its core rather than as an afterthought, saying it's "not an electric scooter with an app bolted on." He framed the scooter as a direct response to the four things that have historically held Indian families back from going electric - range anxiety, safety, service, and cost, positioning the Trion as something designed around daily-commute reliability for Indian families from the ground up.

Who Makes the E3 Trion

E3 Electric.Ai (registered as E3 Technologies Pvt Ltd) was founded in September 2024 by P. Sanjeev, who previously held EV leadership roles at TVS Motor and Ampere. The company is headquartered in Electronic City, Bengaluru.

A few credibility signals worth noting:

• Funding: A ₹100 crore Series A round led by BluVenture Holdings, split roughly 75% equity (₹75 crore) and 25% debt (₹25 crore), with participation from strategic angel investors.
• Recognition: Named a winner in the NASSCOM Emerge 50 Awards 2025, which recognises emerging deep-tech startups in India.
• IP portfolio: More than 18 patents and design filings, and 10 proprietary tech features feeding into the 100+ features on the Trion.
• Regulatory clearance: The Trion holds a CMVR Type Approval Certificate from GARC and is listed on the government's Vahan portal, so it's legally eligible for registration and road use nationwide.

Rollout: Bengaluru First

Pre-bookings opened today in Bengaluru, the Trion's first market. E3's stated first-year target is roughly 90–93 markets nationwide (including Delhi), backed by more than 100 dealerships, using an asset-light model built around manufacturing partners rather than its own large factories.

With the Trion, E3 Electric.AI has entered the Indian EV market with an ambitious first product that focuses as much on software and connected technology as it does on hardware. Competitive introductory pricing, a claimed range of up to 165 km, AI-powered features, a long battery warranty, and practical storage make it an interesting new option in the ₹1 lakh electric scooter segment.

That said, the Trion is also the first scooter from a new manufacturer. Real-world range, long-term reliability, after-sales service, charging performance, and customer support will only become clear once deliveries begin and independent reviews are available. Buyers should also note that the scooter doesn't list ABS on any variant and some key specifications—such as charging time, motor output, and standard vehicle warranty—are yet to be officially disclosed.

If E3 can deliver on its promises of intelligent features, dependable service, and consistent quality, the Trion could become a compelling alternative to established rivals like the Ola S1 X, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, VIDA VX2, and Ather 450S. Until then, it's a promising launch that deserves attention—but it's worth waiting for real-world ownership experiences before making a final decision.
