Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the CEO of Paytm, has joined the early list of Indian owners of Tesla after taking delivery of a Glacier Blue Tesla Model Y.Digital payments have become a norm in India, and it was all thanks to the early introduction of Paytm in 2010. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the mastermind behind the platform, has long been a Tesla enthusiast, and he was among the first Indians to ever reserve a Tesla, booking the Model 3 all the way back in 2016.Now, he has taken the delivery of a brand new Tesla Model Y in Glacier Blue color from the recently opened Tesla Center in Gurugram, Haryana. These pricing options apply to both the RWD and Long Range variants.The Model Y comes with an All Black interior as standard. Buyers can upgrade to the Black and White interior option for an additional ₹95,000.The Long Range variant is expected to offer even higher range and slightly better acceleration , bringing it closer to luxury electric SUV rivals like the BMW iX1, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6.
