TVS Motor Company has achieved a major milestone in India's electric two-wheeler market, with the TVS iQube crossing the 10 lakh production mark. The electric scooter, which made its debut in 2020, has steadily grown into one of the country's best-selling EVs and continues to witness strong demand across urban and semi-urban markets.

A milestone that reflects growing EV adoption

The latest achievement underlines the increasing acceptance of electric scooters in India. While it took TVS over three years to produce its first lakh iQubes, production has accelerated significantly over the past year as customer demand has grown.

The brand has also expanded its manufacturing capacity and dealer network, enabling it to meet rising demand more efficiently. Today, the iQube is available across hundreds of dealerships in India, making it one of the most widely accessible electric scooters in the country.

Commenting on the milestone, Sudarshan Venu, Chairman, TVS Motor Company, said that the rollout of one million iQubes reflects the increasing acceptance of electric mobility in everyday transportation. He added that the achievement is backed by years of investment in engineering, product development and manufacturing capabilities.

What makes the TVS iQube popular?

One of the biggest reasons behind the iQube's success is the variety it offers. The scooter is available in multiple variants with different battery pack options from 2.2 kWh to 5.3 kWh, allowing buyers to choose a model that best suits their budget and daily commuting needs. Not just this, to lower the upfront, it also offers the BaaS scheme. (battery-as-a-service).

The TVS iQube competes with rivals such as the Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, and Honda Activa e. Despite increasing competition, the iQube has consistently remained among the top-selling electric scooters in the country.

What's Next For TVS?

Crossing the 10 lakh production milestone is another significant step in TVS Motor Company's EV journey. As charging infrastructure improves and more buyers switch to electric mobility, the brand is expected to further strengthen its presence in the segment with new products and continued expansion.
